Schools see/check my reported GMAT score if I don't mention?

by jordoobodi Sun Dec 23, 2012 8:21 pm

Hi
I have taken GRE and GMAT both, because deadlines were reaching and I needed at least one good score. Despite my expectation GMAT went wrong (total 570) but my GRE scores are good (V:151 & Q:160). However I'm stuck in these stupid cancellation policies on GMAT which do not let me to cancel the requested report to 5 schools I have chosen at test center (this is really crazy!! even if score will be always included in GMAT profile it was OK, but at least I should have been able to cancel an undesired report. You know, it is not a funny game or something to annoy the test takers like that!)
By the way I will also report my GRE to some of those 5 schools (same programs), and do not mention the GMAT in my application. I wanted to know that if I don't mention it in application process, can the reported GMAT score affect my admission decision in any ways? if yes to what extent?

Thanks in advance

Hi Joobin,

That's a very good question. My sense is that if you sent the score to the school, they have the right to consider it as part of your application. But, I do not have a definitive answer for you - you might want to call the admissions committee as an anonymous applicant and ask how they handle that!

Best of luck,
Mili
