I submitted my application but is it detrimental to attend bschool events that are not in your goals. For instance, I said in my essays I wanted to be in consulting, but I attended a finance panel?

I'm pretty sure it won't negatively impact you in the least if you attended B-School events focused outside of your goal career. How do you figure out what you want to do unless you explore all the options?
