What's the source for the question? If it's a GMAT Prep question, we need a screen shot.

no this is not from gmat prep...

just wanted to know the difference between :

in option A: " ....fund, with the intention to sustain .... "
option C : " .... fund intended to sustain ....."

is C the correct answer against A on this basis only ?
or
A is incorrect because of just the awkward construction "..after the exhaustion of its.. " ?

hi,
we appreciate your honesty here, but, unfortunately, this means that the problem can't be posted in this folder (which is for gmat prep problems only).

please do the following:

* re-post your question in the correct folder -- MG CAT folder if this is one of our problems, general verbal folder if it isn't

* please cite the original source of the problem. this needs to be the original author/book/company from which the problem came; it can't be another forum or an anonymously compiled document from the internet.

if you don't know the original source, then, unfortunately, we can't use the problem (and, in that case, you shouldn't be using it either!).

thanks.
