Request for Profile Evaluation

by mariami_mariami Thu Dec 20, 2012 7:42 am

Hello Everyone,

I took my second GMAT Exam yesterday and improved from 550 to 690 Q49/V35.

Profile:

Female, age 24 from Georgia (Eastern European Country).
Graduated from Georgia State University (GSU), Atlanta, US, GPA 3.7.
Extra Curricular activities: Was a social chair of the Georgian Student association at GSU and then became a president of the same association.

Went back to home country and have a 3.5 year experience in working with Georgian (I mean country Georgia) leading Banks.

2.5 years at Bank of Georgia (LSE listed company) as a Investor relations coordinator. Participated in the premium listing deal, of the Bank, on LSE.
1 year at Bank Republic Societe general Group. Started as a corporate business analyst and after 6 months was promoted as a senior corporate business analyst working solely on large corporate deals.
Post MBA goal is private equity.

I am wondering if I have chances at Stanford, Yale, Booth or Duke. Or do I need to retake my GMAT?

Thanks in advance

Mariam

Hi Mariam,

Thanks for sharing your profile. Your professional experience is very strong, as is your GPA. I don't see much in the way of community or extracurricular activity post-college, so that would be a gap in your profile. Since you're strengths are going to be your academic record and professional experience, it would help to have a higher GMAT score. That said, it's possible to get into Yale or Duke with your current profile (no guarantees). Booth might be possible, too, but a higher score would probably help there more. For Stanford, I think your profile may be too one-dimensional, but you never know what could happen!

Best of luck,
Mili
