Recent promotion - inform adcom?

Alex,

I work in financial services and was just promoted from VP to SVP. Prior to learning of the promotion, I applied Round 2 to Kellogg, Michigan, and Berkeley (decision dates in March). Do you recommend informing the adcoms of the promotion, and if so, what is the best way to do that?

No, don't bug them.

If applicants were allowed to submit materials *after* the deadline, it defeats the purpose of having a deadline in the first place. An applicant could conceivably send in re-writes of their essays and say "well, things have changed at work" or "I've refined my goals".
