Realistic to start application now for Fall 2010?

by dradul Tue Jul 21, 2009 12:23 am

Hi,
Realistically speaking would it be too late to start getting an application package together and trying to meet the deadlines (Jan 2010 seems) for Fall 2010?
Thanks all.

Hi...can you please clarify your question? You want to submit an application in January 2010? If so, as long as you have time to write your application and take the GMAT, you should have enough time.

Hi Monica,
Thanks, you answered my question. I am trying to get my application together and submit it by early Jan. 2010 (round2).
My worry is that, I will be rushing things.
Does getting turned down once, affect your chances if you apply to the same school the following year?

Hi, thanks for clarifying the question. January deadlines typically provide plenty of time to complete an application...especially if you are starting now. With that said, if there hasn't been a significant change in your profile since your prior application, you will have a difficult time convincing the admissions committee why you should be admitted or how you have improved your candidacy. Schools typically don't look down on reapplicants, but you should check your target schools' policy for reapplicants.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.
