This is in turn done because it's been proclaimed that a process similar to mixing of poppy seeds needs to be found and that the balloons example involves no mixing. However, the question does not ask to find a process similar to the mixing of poppy seeds explicitly. It just asks for an example of chaotic system, which does not require mixing as per the passage. So, I think that the rejection of choice (B) is not very logical. Is there a better explanation for choosing option (D)?
