re-applying

If you apply to a program and get denied--are you at a disadvantage if you apply again?

I am applying to a Top 5 program and I REALLY want to go there.

My thinking is, if I do not get in--reapply after retaking the GMAT (hopefully get a higher score), taking some online course, as my GPA is not that strong, taking on additional responsibilities at work, and submit an additional LOR?

Any thoughts?

No, reapplicants aren't at a disadvantage (nor are they at an advantage). There are enough reapplicants in the pool at any school, and assuming their overall caliber isn't any stronger or weaker than first-time applicants, your chances are about the same as a first-time applicant.

Just focus on putting together your best possible application. That's all you can do.
