I took a practice test after going over the RC guide and did much much worse on RC questions. I read all three verbal guides and improved on SC and CR. But before I would just read the RC passage without writing anything down and answer questions. I would only miss 1 or 2 RC questions. This was my strongest area.
But I took the real GMAT, and found the passages harder to read/understand so I wanted to use MGMAT prep's strategy to help me better comprehend the passages. Apparently it backfired. I did notice that the topics on MGMAT CAT were easier to read then the real thing. Did I just get bad passages on the GMAT the first time?
I think that when I stop to take notes I lose my line of thinking and do worse. It interupts my train of thought. Should I improvise and just take notes if the passage is difficult for me to understand?
