QUESTION

To a MGMAT instructor,

I took the course this summer, and I'm reviewing on my own. I've come across a few GMAC paper tests. I was wondering if you would suggest using the GMAC paper tests as a way to practice the math problems. There are some questions that i've seen in the OG, Quant book, and GMAC tests (from mba.com), and I'm not sure if the questions from the paper test are out-dated (the date reads 1997) or if they are a close representation of what to expect on the real GMAT exam?

Just as pure problems, they're a fine source from which to study. But don't bother taking them as timed tests and grading them - the mix of question difficulty levels you get on the CAT will be completely different, so the paper tests are not a good proxy for taking a CAT practice test.
