Question on a problem

by Gen Mon Aug 27, 2007 9:29 pm

If b<2 and 2X-3B=0, which of the following must be true.

The answer is x<3, but I thought it was x<2...why am I wrong? Is there ever a chance the answer to the question could be 2?

Thanks!!

If b<2 and 2X-3B=0

2X - 3B = 0
2X = 3B
B = 2X/3
Since B < 2
2X/3 < 2
X/3 < 1
X < 3
