by vitesh.barar Fri Apr 16, 2010 8:21 am

hi
just gave my GMAT n dont know whether to start focussing on applications or retake the test
got a 710 overall 81% quant, 81% verbal, awa 4.5.

was looking more at european schools like lbs, insead, imd etc and hoping for HBS/wharton/stanford.
I am a 28 yr old male, indian, did mech. engg. in my undergrad and a mba from delhi gpa 3.5, but wish to better my profile and also get a chance to change my industryand get international exposure.
i have 4 years of work ex in strategy and sales planning in the automobile industry and am surrently working for BMW india.

do you think my choice of schools would be a stretch at this score?

thanks a lot

Hello Vitesh,

You are very close to the average GMAT score of students who attend those schools, so I don’t think that you should be worried about your score. I would say that if you feel that the 710 does not reflect what you are capable of scoring, then you might consider retaking it. Other than that, you don’t need to be concerned about the score. You may want to focus on other aspects of the application. Good luck!

Sincerely,

Akiba Smith-Francis
