Looking to Apply for Fall 2010 Admission

25 / m - Caucasian
Undergrad: Ohio State
Major: Finance / Econ
GPA: 3.3 (3.6 Major)
GMAT: 700 46Q 40V

Work Experience:
Three years (Good Track, with promotions) in a rotational finance program at a fortune 50 corporation.

Left after my third year to move to a non-profit (Clinton Foundation)
- Spent 6 months on the programmatic side working in Africa to help provide access to laboratory diagnostics.
- Moved back to the US at the beggining of the year(travel and isolation simply wore me down), now working on setting up processes for Donor financial reporting.

Target Programs:
Univ. Of Virginia
Georgetown
Boston Univ.
Considering Non Profit tracks at Cornell / Yale

How do i stack up as a candidate?

I think your corporate and nonprofit background is pretty interesting, especially if you have a strong story to tell about your passion for pursing the nonprofit career track and your experiences with the Clinton Foundation in Africa and the U.S.

Your undergraduate grades are fine. What are the percentiles on the Quant and Verbal sections of your GMAT? Are you involved in any activities outside of work?

I do think you should be competitive at your target schools. You might also be competitive at some higher ranked programs in the 8-15 range if you have solid leadership examples to leverage in your applications.
