            Dear Mackyp7 -

            Thank you for your inquiry.

You have some obvious strengths in your profile - particularly your involvement in varsity sport, your radio show and the kids-cooking program that you started. Many MBA candidates have trouble articulating differences and this should not be a problem for you. With respect to your candidacy, I think that it all hinges on your professional career. You did not detail your trajectory or responsibilities, but if you can display professional growth and achievement, the evidence (between your professional and community activities) will be overwhelming that you have the character to succeed and thus your GPA should be overlooked. Your 3.0 is right on the border of the GPA danger zone. Still, you have done the right things to mitigate your weakness. So, again, if the other elements are in place (as they seem to be) your GPA should be a "digestible" blip.

I think that you can be competitive at Haas, Anderson and Fuqua. While I would put Booth, Kellogg and Wharton on the reach list, I would not be surprised if you found a home among them. I don’t think that they are "wild" reaches.

            Sincerely,
            Jessica Shklar
