Extra curricular:

In free time, co-founded a Training co. led training dept, planning, strategies, etc..Started with one center and now more than 10 centers

However, could not remotely control operations from Zurich and hence voluntarily gave up responsiblities.

Additonally, I actually have some cliche curriculars

Certfifications: Testing and Process based certificates

Worth considering:

In a span of 4 years, managed own to settle my mortgage ( Current worth 2 million USD)

why MBA in top 20 institutes

So far Learning curve in Technical aspects has been quite stellar. However, would soon reach a point where roles and responsiblities would look mundane and would , now look for a MBA -Finance or Enterpreneurial management to climb up the ladder

Target top institues to have a brand, strong base of alumni, be with motivated colleagues, take benefit out of their innovative approaches like case studies, interactive learning and finally placed well with a meaty package. Package is not the only criteria considering high payment standard of Swiss.

Looking for: HBS, wharton, columbia, Stanford, Sloan, NYU Stern, Tuck, Yale, Kellog

Safe choice: IMD and HEC

Differentiating factors from Highly competitive Indian IT applicant

1. 40% of my experience is International for a leading bank. I may still continue untill I lend up in a top institute.

2. Led to IT by choice. Did wonders in limiited Marketing stint.

3. Academically strong and educated from premier institutes

4. Diversified IT experience across areas such as Testing, Processes, mannagement, Training across various domains such as Finance, Insurance, Telecommunication

5. got the right base and experience, which complemented by MBA would make my profile highly competetive.

Recommenders:

One German and one american client..People who have closely worked with me.

Qtns

am I material for top 20

Can I further differentiate myself from highly competetive group

Any specific advices or schools that are within my reach based on details provided.

I dont want to write the same extra curriculars..any source that can guide me as to present the best out of my cliche extra curriculars

thanks

I understand that you were trying to be exhaustive, but know that in many cases it is far more effective to be concise. That was part of the problem with your original post.

Anyhow, schools near the bottom of the top-16 such as Cornell, Yale, NYU and UCLA are going to be stretches for you (schools such as Kellogg, HBS, and other top-8 schools are out of reach); schools within the top-30 such as USC, UNC, Georgetown, Indiana, Purdue, etc. are schools where you'll likely be more competitive.
