Profile Evaluation

Hi there,

I'm struggling with understanding what my chances are of getting into some schools and am looking for some advice / help. I have attended quite a few school presentations and met with some admission committee staff and they have all said that the number of applications this year will be very high and it will be a competitive year.

Here is my profile:
Undergraduate
-I went to Queen's University and ranked in the top 10% of my class
-Volunteered about 5 hours a week during school
-Managed a university club with over 100 members

Work Experience
-4 years experience at a start-up consulting firm (as of entry in Sept/09)
-Promoted 3 times

Recommendations
-Will have very strong references from highest ranks at our firm

Extra-curicullars since Undergrad
-Volunteer about 8 hours a week at a youth development organization for past 3 years

GMAT
-730 GMAT score

I'm looking to apply to HBS, Sloan, Kellogg and Haas. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Kellogg and Haas - you should be competitive for these schools assuming you put in a strong application (essays, rec letters, resume, interview).

HBS -- you'll need a strong application and a bit of luck, but you have enough of a shot that it's worth at least giving it a go (but if you can do the oil thigh in from the adcom, you're a shoe in ... I'm kidding)
