Hi,

I'm applying to the following four schools for admissions in 2009
- Harvard
- Wharton
- Dartmouth
- Columbia

I'll be 27 w/ 4yr of experience in consulting (Accenture)
GMAT = 740, V42, Q49 (only took test one time)
GPA = 3.4 from Miami University in Business

I'd be very happy to go to any one of these schools, but how concerned should I be that I may get rejected by all four? And should I consider applying to additional schools?

Thanks,

Considering that you are a middle-of-the-road applicant (i.e. you seem to have a solid overall candidate, although nothing exceptional compared to other applicants to these schools), there is a reasonable chance that you won't get into any of those schools.

If you want to maximize your chances of getting into a decent school, you should apply to lower tiered schools that will likely serve your career goals just as well -- such as Michigan, Darden, Duke, NYU, UCLA, Haas, Cornell, Yale.
