Male, born and raised in a very remote place in India India.
never saw a computer until 2002.
Professional Work Experience
3 years as an Electrical Engineer for a 150 year old American company in California
1 and 1/2 year (managed family business)
Education
MS University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
BS University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (GPA 3.4)
Ineterest:
Painting and Politics (part time painter and a political junkee)
GMAT: expecting above 700
Age:28

Reason for doing MBA:
change my present engineering mindset into a business mindset. Would like to market tea in america. Family business is going ahead with a tea manufacturing unit.

Don't know if I stand a chance in getting into one of those top 10 school.
Please shed some light

At first you seem like a candidate who would have trouble differentiating, because - despite your particular hardships - you fit the Indian engineer mold fairly well. However, your work as an entrepreneur within your family business should enable you to set yourself apart. With a 700+ score, you could challenge for a top-10 school, depending on the quality of your experiences at your family firm.
