Profile Evaluation

by rajatr697 Thu Feb 05, 2015 4:07 am

Hi,

My score in GMAT is 710(q-50,v-36,ir-7) with a very low score of 3.5 in AWA. I'm a male IT engineer from India having more than 5 yrs of expereince in IT industry. What are my chances(as far as GMAT score is concerened) of getting into a top MBA program like INSEAD, HEC, ISB etc. Should I retake the exam to improve my AWA score?

Regards,
Rajat

Hi Rajat,

Thanks for posting. Well strictly-GMAT speaking, a 710 is respectable, and likely fairly competitive for the schools you mentioned if the rest of your profile is quite strong... I wouldn't stress too much about the AWA. However, while I don't know much about you, I would say that the Indian IT applicant group with that GMAT score roughly, is quite a large and competitive one.... so likely the decision will be based on how the rest of your profile stacks up against other applicants... factors such as leadership, accomplishments, impact made professionally and personally, community involvement, rationale for the degree and your goals, your fit with the school etc will all come into play. Good luck !
