Profile evaluation

by Nimal123 Mon Oct 21, 2013 2:53 pm

Hello,
I am Indian M26, with 4+ years of full-time work experience as Senior Analyst. Currently with Big 4 consulting firm, spearheading business research services for a sector/industry. Have led team of 3-4 people in multiple business research/consulting projects. Significant client facing/handling experience. International exposure at client site. Have authored multiple thought leadership reports and point of view documents. Contribute significantly in business development activities.
Academics:
Graduation from IIT, with GPA of 7.7/10
GMAT - 660 (Q50, V28, IR4)
TOEFL - yet to appear
12th - 82%
10th - 87%
Extra-curricular: represented university in sports, organized management events during graduation. Active in organizing industry conclaves/seminars with current employer. Support community through involvement with NGOs.
Post MBA: consulting (strategy), prefer US/Canada (east/south coast)

It would be great if you could suggest 4-5 target schools, along with 1-2 dream schools in the US. Is my overall profile/GMAT score competitive for Ross/Fuqua/Darden? How are my chances at Rotman/Schulich in Canada?

Thanks in advance. Look forward to your response

Hi there,

You have a lot going for you in your profile, including your work experience, lots of involvement, managing others, assuming some leadership and teamwork stories, strong academics.

Based on the info you have detailed here, I would think you would have a good shot at Rotman/Schulich yes; Ross/Fuqua/Darden would be possible with very strong essays and the rest of the application, though a bit more of a reach than the schools in Canada, with Darden probably the toughest of the list. But schools with an average of 650-680 should definitely be within reach with a strong GMAT; it may depend on what YOU are looking for in a school, and what your career goals are! Good luck to you!
