hello,
Here's my profile:
29 yr old IT male from India ( I know this puts me at great disadvantage)
Experience - 7.5 yrs
- Currently manage a team of 60 across two locations (Hyderabad and Chennai)
- 6 years of experience working at Client location - Texas, US
- Have a considerably quick progression in job profile within the company.
- Wealth of experience in project management (IT projects) and also dabbled in consulting (for business process improvements and outsourcing of business processes at a US Bank and also working with the IT marketing team on proposals to banks and insurance companies)
- Managed teams located across US, India and Mexico
GMAT - 690 [Q: 48, V: 37] [No AWA or IR yet] {Very disappointed with the score, but not sure if i have enough time to improve on this}
Extracurricular:
Lots of involvement in Christian ministries between 2008 -2013; serving at various capacities and different wings such as Children ministries, Foster care, youth ministries etc.
Goal after MBA:
Strategy consulting in the short term
I would love to eventually invest in a start up venture and become an entrepreneur.
I understand my profile belongs to one of the highly represented groups and my GMAT is below par. So i am deeply concerned about my chances.
I revised my initial goals and shortlisted the following colleges
- Mays Business School ( Lived in TX for 6 yrs and would love to continue to live & work there)
- Mccombs business School
- Kellogg (I think this could be a stretch, but my inclination towards consulting wants me to hold on to it.... Feel free to advise if am delusional)
- INSEAD or Nanyang
- Georgetown Mcdonough
Please let me know of my chances in these schools. Also advise if i can try any of the top schools (is it worth the shot given my profile)
Thanks,
Aroon
