Profile Evaluation

Hi,

I gave my GMAT recently and got a score of 600 (q50 v22). i am targeting mba from canada. my profile is as follows:

10th: 89%
12th: 79%
B.E (telecommunication): 74% aggregate
Work Experience: 5 years as a Test Engineer in IT industry
1. Dell Services: 3.5 yrs
2. PTC: 1.5 yrs

As part of guiding in school days have done some community service like pulse polio program.
Have done some volunteering in hospital service.
(NOTE: I do not have certificates for the hospital service activity)

Kindly could you let me know if i am eligible for any mba school in canada, as i am looking for the sep 2013 admission.

Do suggest me if i have to retake the gmat.

Hello,

There are a number of MBA programs in Canada that I believe you could gain admissions for with your current profile; however, if you wish to attend a top Canadian program, I'd suggest retaking the GMAT.

1, McMaster University - DeGroote School of Business
2. University of Alberta - Alberta School of Business
3. University of British Columbia - Sauder School of Business

Will I be accepted in the above schools with my current profile.
Do suggest me of schools that would accept me with my current profile.

Also kindly let me know which are the schools that you are referring to by Top Business Schools.

I am thinking of applying with my current profile for the following 2 reasons:
1. I am married and have a time constraint to apply for next year
2. Also there is limited time for me to apply for Sep 2013 admissions.

Hello,

Unfortunately I cannot say with certainty whether you will gain admissions (this decision always lies with the admissions committees and there are never any guarantees!). I believe you are below the average GMAT score for DeGroote and Sauder, at just at the average for Alberta. I don't see anything else in your profile that makes you a stand out applicant, so it's pretty difficult to say whether you'd be admitted or not. I think these are good target programs, though!

Work Exp: 5.5 years with leading Indian automobile company (mahindra)
5 yrs in R&D and 7 months in sales and marketing
Lead a team of 4 while in R&D.
EC: Okok.

What are my chances of getting into ISB? Also suggest other good colleges for this profile.
