Hello,
My background: Graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2009, I have returned to Hong Kong to start my career. For the past 2 years, I have worked in UBS, and now in an attempt to strengthen my educational background, I decided to go to USA to obtain a Master Degree in Financial Engineering.
Bachelor of Commerce, 4 years prog, Carleton University, Canada, GPA: B- / 70-73%
Working at UBS, 2 years exp
GMAT: 660 (Q:48 V: 33)
I will retake the GMAT on 29 Feb, attempting to improve my GMAT score.
I know my GPA is a big disadvantage, in fact, I entered with a huge entrance scholarship, and my GPA was Aced in the first year; however, due to personal reason, I totally ruined my academic score in the rest of years. (I am going to explain this in the academic essay)
Is there any way I can get accepted by an above average B-school in United States?
Please note I am applying the Financial Engineering or Investment Management program, not the MBA.
Please evaluate my profile, or give me some advice, thank you very much.
Ryan
