Profile Evaluation

Hi ,

I am Pavan. I am requesting a profile evaluation. Here are my credentials:

GMAT : 690(48Q, 37V)
GPA : 3.6 from BITS Pilani (Ranked among top 5 universities in India)
Degree Earned: Masters in Engineering.

Experience: 3yrs as of now with around 2 yrs international experience in Israel, Hong Kong and Main-land China.

Fellowships : Royal Philips Fellowship for 2yrs (2006-2008)

Role: R&D Engineer,Design consultant for OEM's(Original Equipment Manufactures). Worked on high end multimedia and telephony frameworks like Android and Qtopia.

Social Responsibility: 1. Red Cross Volunteer - Independently organized several awareness campaigns on Hepatits B in rural India in co-ordination with DSPG India.
2. Regularly Organize fund raisers for Asha Jeevan, a charity organization focussing on bed ridden and disabled people.

I am targetting Fuqua, Anderson, Cornell, Ross, Tuck. What chance do I stand at these universities. Please let me know.

Hi Pavan,

Thanks for writing in. While I only have a cursory knowledge of what your profile brings to the table, I do see a good mix of academics, work experience and extracurricular based on the information you provided. To break out from the pack you'll need to be able to show increased responsibility and leadership in your job, as well as define your post-MBA goals clearly. How will your current skills, plus an MBA, allow you to achieve your future goals?

I think you're targeting a good mix of schools. I believe Ross and Tuck will be reach schools, and would expect you to be competitive at the rest of the lot.
