Work Experience: 2.5 years in Economic Development
Major Blackmark on my application: Made a poor decision to attend law school, failed first year and withdrew half-way through second

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my chances at the top Canadian programs, along with HEC - Paris and Oxford Said. Thanks in advance

Thanks for writing in and congratulations on an outstanding GMAT score. Any business school is going to notice that score and want to explore your profile further.

Since you'll have their attention, I suggest explaining why you originally chose to go to law school, why you think you struggled, what led to you dropping out, and -- most importantly -- why have you decided now to get an MBA? Any evidence you can explain that can persuade the schools that this is indeed the right move for you at this point can help overcome any apprehension about your past.
