Hello Rachel,

I am looking for MGMAT's opinion on the

Gmat - 670 (latest Q=50 V=30)
Previous Attempt = 600 ( Q=50 V=22 AWA =5.5)

Profile Summary:
Indian IT Male with 6 years of experience in Banking.

Professional Activities:
Associated as exec with large multi cultural professional association.

Academic Background:
Decent Academic background , honor in Engineering. Passed with fairly good percentage overall.

Target School:
Kelly Business School - Indiana
Ross Business School - Michigan.

Wanted to know, you opinion based on little information I provided above, I know GMAT Score is not the only criteria on which school make decision, however I also have observed the competition in category that I belong is very high considering high score.

Please advice.

Hi! Your GMAT is on the lower end of the range for both of these schools, but it seems that your quant score is strong, which will help your candidacy. What's difficult is that many applicants with your background get much higher GMAT scores, so you will be competing against them in the application process. Otherwise, what will help you submit a strong application is to highlight your professional accomplishments, not responsibilities, and look for ways to differentiate yourself from other applicants. One thing you don't have listed here are your extra-curricular activities, which will be closely examined by the AdCom. They want to see applicants who take on leadership roles both at work and in their outside life.

Best of luck,

Rachel Beck
