Profile evaluation - Request

Hello Daniel

First thanks for your help in advance. Below is my profile, appreciate if you could evaluate my profile

- Originally from India
- Undergraduate from a state school in US. Major is management with 3.7 GPA.
- Masters in Environmental sciences from state school in US (It will be in Top 50 state schools).
- 7 years experience in renewable energy/sustainable industry.
- Worked on a renewable energy project that was led by a Nobel laureate.
- 1-year experience in traditional energy industry (energy exploration and energy supply chain).
- Managed teams ranging from 7 - 14 members.
- Multi-country working experience
- Already have a part time MBA.
- But since realized MBA is more about out side the call activities that classroom education. Secondly need a global MBA.
- Will be 33 by the time I start MBA (If I get admitted)
- Target school - LBS & INSEAD.
- GMAT is 700+
- Long-term goal is to work in establishing supply chains for renewable energy sources.

Hi pasadenatechsale,

Thanks for writing in. I think you've picked the right type of school, as I believe those programs are more open to older candidates, as well as those who have previously been through an MBA. Still, I would first check to make sure they will even consider your application, as schools have varying policies on that matter.

The key for you is to explain why you need this second MBA -- what will it provide you with that you can't currently obtain with your current degree? Take it further then what you described to me -- what will the non-classroom aspect bring you, what will a global degree allow you to do that you can't do now? Schools are likely to immediately focus on that question when they read your profile, so you'll want to be clear and strong in that answer.
