Hi Nish,

Thanks for sharing those details. While I do think you face some risk of falling into the male Indian IT category, it sounds like you have some good leadership and extracurricular experience you can speak to in your essays, which can help differentiate your case. Your desire to do nonprofit consulting should also help separate you from your cohort.

I think the incremental gains of a 720-->740 are likely not worth your preparation time, unless you are very confident you will hit that 740. Otherwise you are likely better off spending time on your essays.

Your profile should be in the mix at the schools you listed. The only thing I would suggest is diversifying the mix a bit to include a school like UNC or UCLA to diversify your chances for admission,
