profile evaluation : GMAT-650/3.5 yrs work exp(IT)/indian

following are the details of my profile :

Sushma, female, Indian, age-28.
GMAT : 650(Q 49, V 28).
Work Exp : 3.5 years in software development and IT consulting.
there are few breaks in work exp,and since march-2009 i am not working as i don't have the work
permit here in USA.
Education : Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and communications) / 2005 .
GPA : 3.
Location : Dallas,TX.

I am aiming for SMU
1.COX Full time MBA http://www.cox.smu.edu/web/full-time-mba/ and
2.mccombs,dallas http://new.mccombs.utexas.edu/mba .

do let me know know where i stand in terms of getting accepted to MBA full time program(finance) in these colleges with scholarship awarded ?
money is very improtant criteria,so cant think of taking loan of 70-90k.
do suggest me if i should retake GMAT ?

Hi Sushma,

Thanks for writing in. With the limited information you shared I think Cox could be in your competitive range but McCombs may be a bit of a reach.

Scholarships vary by school and are nearly impossible to predict, especially based on the information you provided. I suggest calling the Financial Aid offices at each school to learn about what scholarships you may be eligible for.
