Hi Julian,
Thanks for writing in. A 720 is a really strong score and a Verbal 38 likely exceeded the 80% mark, which is a benchmark candidates strive for. Traditionally business schools only look at your highest overall score, so re-taking the exam will likely come with minimal risk if you don't beat 720, so it's really up to you.
Even with the 720 and the info you shared you seem to be a potentially competitive candidate at those top schools. The quality of your work experience, extracurriculars and reason for seeking an MBA are all relevant inputs as well.
