Profile Evaluation - Advice Needed

Hi,

Would really appreciate some feedback about my school selection. Also greatly appreciate any additional feedback/advice. Thanks!

Male/26
Undergrad: BS in Finance from top 10 undergraduate Business Program. 3.25 GPA (Slightly Concerned), 3.6 GPA in Finance

GMAT: 720: 78%Q,95%V.

Work Exp: 6 years by time of matriculation.
1.5 yrs in Big 4 Accounting Firm doing Structured Finance Advisory
3.5 Years at Top International Investment bank as a Structured Finance Valuations Analyst (Current title is Assistant Vice President, anticipate promotion to Vice President in February).
Promoted at both firms

Extracurriculars: 1) Youth Mentor to underprivileged students.
2) Member of a South Asian Professional Association group
3) Mission volunteer tutoring adults in basic math skills.

Rec: Can get good recs from Director and current manager.

Schools Under Consideration.

Hi izansarii,

Thanks for writing in. Your GMAT and college academics appear competitive for the the caliber of schools you are looking at. While I do not know the finer details about your work experience, the fact that you will have been promoted at both role could mean you have good examples to share of successful projects, leading team, managing conflict, etc.

Of course, you will want to make sure the schools understand why you are seeking your MBA and why their school is a good match for your talent and goals. If you can do a good job of that, you should be competitive at the schools you list.
