I just took the GMAT -- 720 (Q47/V42) -- and would like to know my chances at HBS, Tuck, Kellogg, Stanford, and Yale for class of 2014.
BS in International Affairs and Modern Language from Georgia Tech
GPA 3.85 (A's in Calc II, Micro/Macro Econ, and Finance among other courses -- no C's in the first year and A's in all courses for the last 3.5 years of college)
Received the "Most Outstanding Senior" award from Georgia Tech's department of Modern Language
Varsity Football Letterman
Served two-year Spanish speaking church mission (I am not a native Spanish-speaker, so I had to learn it.)
Work in investment management as an analyst at one of big investment banks with one of the largest teams on the East Coast
Roughly two hours of weekly volunteer work. (I teach a class of 25 adults at my local church.)
I would like to pursue an MBA to continue on the investment management path in hopes of eventually starting my own firm.
Also, would the 47 quant score be viewed negatively considering I have solid undergraduate grades in highly quantitative courses and work in a highly quantitative field (investment management)?
Thanks for the advice!
