Probably printing miss in the online syllabus!

by AsadA969 Sun Nov 06, 2016 4:03 pm

Hi Stacey,
In Manhattan GMAT's online class syllabus, the verbal-6 (after session 6) indicates the task #D37 (page# 40, OG-2017 edition), but there is NO diagnostic 37 (D37) in this page. This page carries Diagnostic# 85,86,87,88,89. So, which one will be the specific task for this session?
Thank you Stacey...

Whoops! Thanks for this catch. That numbering is for OG2016. The correct number is D85.

We'll get this fixed!

little bit mistake in Navigator solution!

by AsadA969 Sun Nov 27, 2016 3:25 am

Hi Stacey,
There is a little bit mistake in one of the Navigator's specific problem of Official Guide 2017 edition.
Problem solving question# 221,
the correct equation should be:
P (Zelda does NOT solves the problem)=1-P(Zelda solves the problem)
--> P (Zelda does NOT solves the problem)=1-(5/8)

But, it has been written mistakenly the following:
P (Zelda does NOT solve the problem)=1-P(Zelda does NOT solve the problem).
I think it should be corrected if I'm not wrong!

also, in OG 2017 edition, PS#200, page#179
Quoted the line from Navigator (last line of the solution)
""Note that if we have mistakenly thought 143 was a prime, we should have identified only two unique primes between 1 and 100?''''
My Question: Should not it be three primes between 1 and 100?
Thank you Stacey...

#221: Yes, you are right—that is a typo! I will submit this for a fix. Thank you!

And for #200: Yes, I agree. If someone thought 143 was prime, then they'd find 2, 5, and 143—3 primes.

Thanks again!
