Prerequisite Coursework Question

by Guest Fri Jan 23, 2009 12:48 pm

Hi Alex and Jeremy,

Thanks again for your help in this forum, it's greatly appreciated.

I have a quick question about taking courses in preparation for applying to programs. I'm light on quantitative work, both academically and professionally.

My GMAT quant is strong, but as certain schools have college level stats or calculus prerequisites, I want to take a couple classes in advance of applying to strengthen my candidacy and substantiate my quantitative skills.

It's likely of minor consequence, but my question is -- for these courses, does it make a difference to adcoms/to the strength of my application whether I take them at a local community college or a more reputable university?

It makes no difference -- just choose courses that best fit your needs and schedule.
