Prep and Self-Study

by joelomas Sun Jun 21, 2009 11:05 pm

I was on the website and curious what is the different between both products:

The Manhattan GMAT Complete Prep Set $224.00
Guided Self-Study Prep $590.00

It appears the only difference is the self-study has the "Private Phone Sessions (2 sessions, 1/2 hour each)" and online labs. Both seem to have practice exams and question banks. also, on the complete prep for $224.00, I take it you can use the "Guided Self-Study Course Syllabus?"

Hi there-

The biggest differences between the complete prep set and the guided self study prep are the office hours that you noted and also the access to the class labs. You'll also have access to our challenge problem archive and course downloads, which include our study organizer materials and all of the handouts that go along with the course.

One thing to note, though -- if you are considering either Guided Self Study program (the Prep which costs $590 or the Prep Plus which includes recordings of our class sessions and costs $790), they include the complete prep set. Therefore, if you buy the complete prep set first, we're happy to give you a credit for that if you eventually decide to go with the Guided Self Study program.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

I only have about 2 1/2 months to study and my goal is only to get in the 575-625 range, because the school requires min 500 score. I am hoping "Manhattan GMAT Complete Prep Set $224.00" is enough. I do have the luxury of my son helping me out on the math questions (if I can take his sarcasms). Also, would I be able to use the "Guided Self-Study Course Syllabus" with the plan for 224? I see I can print this out.

Hi there-

The Guided Self Study syllabus follows pretty closely to the class syllabus, which is available publicly on our website. You can find it here: http://www.manhattangmat.com/Bigfiles/C ... udents.pdf

Good luck studying!
