Good question. As a general rule, try to use practice tests as opportunities to practice what you're going to do for the real test.
So, yes, don't do a ton the day before (you'll just tire your brain out). Try to take the test at the same time of day you plan to take the real test. Get up, eat breakfast, do whatever you would normally do.
Consider taking the test at a library, or your office, or someplace that's quiet but isn't home. That way, you don't have the ease / comfort level of being home (which will of course be true on test day!). If you do go someplace else, make sure you will have solid internet access.
