Hi Stacey / Ron,
I'm a fan of yours however not yet a qualified candidate of top MBA applicant. Honestly speaking, this is my 3rd trial in the past 5 months and I had never expected to experience such a bottleneck. Embarrassed enough, no one believed that I could not hit 700+ and friends even wondered if I randomly selected the answers, since I easily got 108 on TOEFL without any preparation =(
Quan is not a problem (got Q50-51 in 3 exams) but verbal indeed becomes an issue - please, help me to identify the blind spots so I can improve the score!!
Summarized previous study plans as below:
- Used materials: OG11-13, OV1 & 2, Manhattan RC & SC handbook, CR Bible (by PowerScore) and GMATPreP exams
- Prep results: CAT 1~6 all 720+
- Completed:
-- SC: question types analysis and classification (parallel, tense, comparison, meaning and concision...etc);
-- CR: question types analysis and classification (weaken, support, assumption, bold face...etc); logic chain practice
-- RC: articles classification by topics (bio, history, econ, racial and gender...etc.) and extensive reading on daily basis
Sincerely need your help and advices - target to apply for 2nd round this year. Greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
