My GMAT experience--worst day of my life

by victory_rohit Mon Aug 23, 2010 12:33 pm

Hi,

I would like to share my GMAT experience with you all. I scored just 610 (M 48 V 26) which is way below my expectation.
I don't think what went wrong and the moment score appeared on my screen, I feld shattered. I never ever expected this score. In all my practice test I consistently scored above 650. I seriously don't know what should I do now. My MBA dream seems to come to an end. Below are my score below that I got in my practice tests:

1. MGMAT1 (1 mnth before GMAT) - 650
2. MGMAT2 (25 days before GMAT) - 680
3. MGMAT3 (20 days before GMAT ) - 650
4. GMAT prep 1- (15 days before GMAT) - 710
5. GMAT prep 2 - (10 days before GMAT) -670
6. veritas GMAT free test (6 days before GMAT) -670
7. GMAT prep1 (reloaded the software 4 days before GMAT)- 750
8. MGMAT4 (4 days before GMAT) - 720
9. Princeton free online test(2 days before GMAT) - 710
9. MGMAT5 (1 day before GMAT) - 690

I am not listing out the material that I covered as it is meaningless now but it was almost the same what people use to prepare.

But, this day will always be a scar in my life and will always remember it.

The score is definitely out of line with your previous practice exams. I would chalk it up to nerves, schedule the test for 31 days out, and take the exam again.

Your practice scores are great and from reading the experiences of others who posted similar scores with the same practice exams, you should definitely score better the second time around.
