My GMAT exam got postponed

Hi, I'm sharing my experience here. I'm wondering if anyone encountered the same thing.

I was scheduled to take the GMAT earlier today at 1:30pm. I called the test center at 10:00am to confirm my appointment, only to be told that due to technical difficulties, my exam has been postponed indefinitely. They are supposed to contact me "soon" to reschedule the appointment.

You know the feeling that builds up as it gets closer to exam day? I think this is far worse. It completely throws a wrench in my schedule and I might miss out on the post-exam review because my subscription runs out soon.

I shot an email to the GMAC to request for a refund in the event the issue is not resolved promptly. As there is only one testing center in the country, it looks like I have little choice but to travel and sit for it elsewhere. Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks :(

No, I haven't heard of this happening to anyone before - I have heard about specific delays of a few hours or a day or two, but not indefinitely! My guess is that the site might have lost its license or something and GMAC is trying to find a new place.
