Military and Older Applicant.

by Guest Mon Jul 21, 2008 7:13 pm

I read the last military post.

I'm also a young service academy(AF) grad and will be entering pilot training in roughly a year.

How do top 10 programs consider military applicants who are older? My pilot commitment is about 10 years. I will be roughly 29-31 when I apply and I hope to aim at the top 10. Will being older hurt my chances at a top program?

GPA: 3.52
Major (Management) GPA: 4.0
Minor (Philosophy) GPA: 4.0
College Athlete (Quarterback)
Academy Instructor Pilot
Very Active in Student Leadership
GMAT: Assuming 700+

Thanks!
Ted

With military officers, age isn't an issue at all when it comes to b-school admissions. Most of the military folks in b-school are older anyhow (late 20s to mid-30s).
