MGMAT CATS -- Quant difficulty level

by smk Sun Dec 21, 2008 3:25 am

Hello,
I have a quick question about Quant questions in 6 MGMAT CAT tests. I found them to be quite difficult and was pressed for time. My average quant score on these tests was 40-43.

I also solved 6 official GMAT tests (paper and power prep), and have consistently scored 49-51 on them.

How does the level of MGMAT stack up with real one. Does anyone have any inputs on these. I am planning to appear for my GMAT in two weeks and am very apprehensive because of my scores on MGMAT.

Thanks.

i think u will score more in actual gmat quant compared to ur score in mgmat quant.

mgmat quant questions are not tough. it is just that some of the questions require more than 2 minutes of attention.

Thanks!

We do our best to keep our CATs as accurate as possible, but the best predictor of your current ability level is still the two tests downloadable at mba.com, simply because these use the real GMAT algorithm. Kylo is right that some of our questions require more than two minutes to solve; we are in the process of updating our CAT pool. We plan to add many more questions as well as remove a few; however, this massive undertaking is not quite ready for release.
