Median & Mean in Evenly spaced set

By definition, is the median=mean for all evenly spaced sets?

I believe this is true, but just wanted to clarify.

(e.g., Odd numbered set: x, x+2, x+4, x+6, x+8= (5x+20)/5--> Mean = x+4; Median= x+4
(e.g., Even numbered set: x,x+3,x+6,x+9= (4x+18)/4-->Mean= Average of two middle numbers (2x+9)/2; Median= (2x+9)/2

Yes, I believe that in any symmetric distribution (come on, I had to use some advanced vocabulary to make myself appear smarter than I actually am!), the mean=median.
