Leaving AWA Section

by hnooriaan Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:14 am

is the score of 0(Zero) in AWA ,which will inevitably happen when you leave
the both AWA sections blank, makes a detrimental impression on the admission
committee? can we manifest this skill with some other staffs(like
TOEFL writing or good SOP)?
my insistence on not taking the AWA is more due to the fact that I am
in a dire need not to sap my mental energy during the 3 hours brain
sucking exam and to concentrate on the more decisive sections of the
test(Math and Verbal).I really think that taking the AWA can
dramaticcally interfere with my good score on the remaning parts.

thank you in advance

Thank you for your inquiry.

Not taking the AWA section is indeed a mistake. The AWA section is part of the test for a reason. The schools want to know that you can communicate and they also want to know that you are in fact the person writing the application, as they may compare your GMAT essays with your application essays. Complete the AWA section!

Sincerely,
