Dear Stacey!!
I have been preparing seriously for GMAT for the last 2 months and have my exam date in next 5 days. Mentioned below are my test scores with dates of tests
GMAT Prep 1 (14/1/2013) - 590 (Q 44,V 27)
MGMAT 1(28/1/2013) - 620 (Q45 V 31)
MGMAT 2 (6/2/2013) - 620 (Q39,V 36)
MGMAT 3 (16/2/2013) - 670 (Q 45, V 36)
MGMAT 4 (23/2/2013)- 690 (Q 47, V 37).
GMATPrep 2 (26/2/2013)-610 (Q42 , V 32)
I gave GMATPrep2 today and I was dismayed to see the result.
I think what went wrong for me was that GMAT Prep 2 had same AWA and IR sections, few repeat quant ques as in GMAT Prep 1 ,same RC passages (all three were same),lot of same CR & SC questions..I had somehow lost interest when I began doing the test yet I continued working as I told myself this is supposed to mirror the real thing.
Such a result, I believe is contrary to what others get when they get the same questions twice but I guess I was just too quick in answering (30 mins left and 12 ques in Verbal.) and did not maintain the patience level I should have or I was too bored (it is not an excuse but I am asking if it can actually be a factor for such a performance?).
I do not wish to make any excuses for the sad mock result but a fall hurts..I would love to believe that this mock (GMAT PREP) may not be true indicator of my preparation level but I am left wondering if I should think positive about MGMAT CATs that I took and more so about the one immediately before this test..just two days ago.
I was earlier jittery that the improvement that I have been able to make should either be stable or it should increase (ideally), however looking at my today's result which is supposed to indicate the near GMAT score I did poorly.
Please let me know what you feel on this. Should I still keep my hopes for the next 5 days. My aim is get to 700.
What should I do to feel confident. Do I take another CAT..and which one...I have developed affection and love for MGMATs but is good enough of me Stacey! Please help!!
Love..
