Kaplan = 660, MGMAT = 760

by croyer Tue Dec 15, 2009 1:26 pm

Just got my official score report.
V: 44 / 97%
Q: 49 / 87%
T: 760 / 99%
AWA: 5.5 / 76%

I took the test a year ago and used the Kaplan study material. I found that it was useless, especially with regards to the quantitative section. Manhattan, was fantastic! Thanks a lot for the help!

GREAT JOB! How was your MGMAT scores compared to the actual exam? Also, did you find the mgmat quant/verbal more difficult/same/easier than the actual exam?

The MGMAT seemed very comparable to the actual test. I only had time to do a couple of the practice exams, my scores for those are below:

CAT 1: V:39, Q: 45, Total: 690
CAT 2: V:41, Q: 48, Total: 730

I also wrote the two practice exams included in the mba.com software and scored a 730 and a 770 on those, I can't remember the breakdown between verbal and quantitative.

I should note that the 770 score was two days before the test, the other practice scores were at least a week before the test, and I did a lot of studying in the last two weeks. I note this because I don't want to imply that a 730 on the MGMAT practice test, equates to a 760 on the actual GMAT.
