Hi Sphinxodus,

Just wanted to check what was your average score during MGMAT CAT series. If you could list down you scores of MGMAT cat tests, it would be great. Thanks!

Hello

Apologies, as I was very brief. A small insight into my preparation.

Started my studies on 17th July and took test on 19th August.

I studied from following books for a month
-Quants from MGMAT strategy Guides (Number Props, Word Translations)
-CR from POWERSCORE
-SC from MGMAT Strategy Guide

I took many tests, and following were the scores
Date TEST Tests Score
21-Jul MGMAT 570 Q-40 V-30
26-Jul GMATPrep 660 Q-48 V-32
29-Jul MGMAT 660 Q-46 V-34
30-Jul MGMAT 660 Q-46 V-34
3-Aug GMATPrep 660 Q-47 V-34
6-Aug MGMAT 660 Q-47 V-33
7-Aug MGMAT 680 Q-48 V-34
9-Aug MGMAT 680 Q-48 V-34
11-Aug GMATPrep 680 (Don't Remember)
15-Aug GMATPrep 710 (Don't Remember)

I maintained a complete log of all the tests and errors separately. This helps a lot, when someone is struggling to catch and correct the mistakes. Even though the first test (Real GMAT) blew me away and handed me a paltry 550, I knew my problem, which was lack of test practice. Therefore, I made sure that I do so this time.

I hope I entertained your request.

Moreover, I am planning a retake in the comng month, as I believe 690 is still not enough and may not get me into my dream school.

Thanks
RB

I found CR bible enough to fill in gaps for RC.

Moreover, I found the preparation of SC & CR sections filling in for RC.
SC gave me ways to read, dissect and understand the sentences logically.

CR helped to understand the structure of passages, find premises and conclusions, and consequently answer the questions, which are similar to CR questions.

Thanks
