Issue with the application process

by aroon_abraham Fri Jan 06, 2012 4:24 pm

Hi,

I am faced with an issue in my application process.
I received an email from UCLA Anderson stating that one of my recommenders has submitted his recommendations. I sent a thank you note to him and he replied back saying that he made a mistake. Apparently he did his recommendations on a word doc and turns out he copied the recommendations for Darden into UCLA application.
Both universities have different questions on their recommendation form and i believe his reponses might not be so appropriate given this mishap. I asked him to check if there is anything he can do, since he already submitted the recommendation. He checked his recommendation link and told me that he is still able to make amendments. So I asked him to make the appropriate changes.
However i am a little worried if the changes would reflect or not. Can someone advise what i need to do? Should i contact the Admissions committee?

Please advise,
Arun

Hi! My best piece of advice during the application process: When in doubt, call the school. If you are concerned, it can't hurt to call the school and explain this situation to them.

Best of luck,
Rachel Beck
