Interview follow up

by guest Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:28 am

I just had an interview with one of my top choice business schools. If the person gives you a business card, is it appropriate to send a "thank you" as you would a job interview? E-mail? Traditional hand-written note? Or nothing?

Also, is it different depending on if you met with a current student or a member of the admissions staff? (Mine was with admissions staff, btw).

Thank you!

As a simple courtesy, yes you should send a quick thank you note - if they give you an email address, then email is fine. Resist the temptation to "sell" -- just a courtesy "thanks for your time" is all that's necessary.
