Thank you for your inquiry.
I have actually asked several admissions officers about this question directly and have found that there is tremendous inconsistency from school to school. For example, Berkeley quite literally cannot accept someone who has a graduate level management degree. I asked another admissions officer at a leading program who said that it was not impossible but that she had not admitted anyone with an MBA in at least five years. Other schools will tell you to apply and won’t rule out an admit beforehand. You really should attempt to understand each school’s policy, before you apply, by contacting their admissions offices directly.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Shinewald

SagiM5 Wrote:Hello,
I intend to submit my application for the second round of MBA 2009. I would like to ask the following question:
After reading thoroughly all the information on many MBA programs' website I did not find any clear reference regarding international applicants who already have an MBA. Since I consider the LBS, Columbia, & NYU MBA programs my top priority, I would like to ask how the different admission council perceive my current MBA from a local university (not located within the US or Europe).
I would also like to ask weather it is possible and recommended to submit a letter, which will address this subject, to the admission councils during my application submission.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions.
Best Regards,
Sagi
