In PS, can GMAT give more info than you need?
Knowing the answer to this question would help to reconcile the given info. For example, if I think that I am able to get to the answer without certain piece of info, I might be missing the something.
It's possible, but it's rare. When you see that you have not used a certain piece of data, be wary. This is especially true for "overlapping sets" problems. One area where it might not apply: bodies in motion. If you use the "add or subtract the rates" shortcut, you can sometimes solve these problems without using all of the given information.
